We Are St. Paul’s

Founded in1797,  St. Paul’s has had several names, but one abiding faith.

We began as St. Paul’s Reformed Church, a part of the German Reformed movement inspired by the great Protestant leader, Uldrich Zwingli.

In 1934, when the Reformed Church merged with the Evangelical Church, we became St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed Church.

When the Evangelical and Reformed Church combined with the Congregational Christian Church in 1957 to form the United Church of Christ, you guessed it, we became St. Paul’s United Church of  Christ.

For over two centuries, St. Paul’s has steadfastly proclaimed the Reformed faith in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania.

Today we remain an active, caring, progressive family of faith.
